BANIG | 500 anos de tradição em tecelagem de esteiras

On 21st November 2019, the Embassy of the Philippines in Lisbon and Fundação Ricardo do Espírito Santo Silva opened the exhibit BANIG: 500 Years of Tradition of Mat Weaving at Museu de Artes Decorativas Portuguesas. It was an initiative aimed at showing the traditional Filipino handwoven mats to the Portuguese public, and it was open until early January 2020. The preliminary contacts and the early concept of the exhibit were promoted by Alexandra Curvelo and Maria João Ferreira, members of the Working Group.
