In March 2019, Dr. Ambeth Ocampo, from Ateneo de Manila University, was in Portugal to participate in the International Seminar The Philippines – A Global “Contact Zone”. He was then interviewed by the Portuguese newspaper Diário de Notícias, where he presented his views and his opinion about the importance and role of Magellan and the current situation in the Philippines. He also gave a lecture at the Embassy of the Philippines in Lisbon on the occasion.
