The Philippines in Portuguese Historiography

The Philippines in Portuguese Historiography – Bibliography and Published Sources from the 19th century to the Present was the first research project to emerge from the collaborative partnership between CHAM and the Embassy of the Philippines in Lisbon. It is a 175-page compilation of references about books, articles and published documents produced in Portugal or by Portuguese historians and scholars about the Philippines, from the 19th century to the present day.

The work was financed by the Embassy of the Philippines in Lisbon and it was carried out by a team of researchers from the Working Group: Rui Manuel Loureiro, Elsa Penalva and Miguel Rodrigues Lourenço.

It was concluded in 2020 as is currently under production for publication by a Filipino publishing house.
