On April 11, 2024, NOVA FCSH had the pleasure of receiving a visit from the Philippine Ambassador, H.E. Paul Raymund P. Cortes, to Colégio Almada Negreiros (CAN). He was hosted by Prof. Maria Cardeira da Silva, Vice-Dean for Internationalization, Culture and Regional Partnerships, with whom he had a working meeting. The partnership between the Embassy and NOVA FCSH was revisited, particularly in the context of the work carried out by the “Portugal-Philippines: Connected Histories” cluster, and avenues were identified for the development of new collaborative projects. The meeting was attended by several members of the Working Group: Paulo Jorge de Sousa Pinto, Alexandra Curvelo, Pedro Cardim, Isabel Araújo Branco, Stephanie Coo and Miguel Rodrigues Lourenço. This was followed by a brief visit to the facilities of CHAM – Centro Humanidades, where the Ambassador learned about the Center’s publications and activities.
